HN4480 ALSA, 3-unit pack 6000 coaches, BB1, BB + DV, olive green, ep. VI
Product Info
History
In the mid-1990s, the type 6000 coaches destined for the failed sale to Cuba concluded their service with U.N. Regionales. Thanks to various associations and groups of railway enthusiasts, these coaches were saved from scrap and repurposed to form tourist and commemorative trains. During the latter half of their operational life, they were fitted with conventional couplings to facilitate their use by these associations. In 2016, ALSA restored four of these coaches and a boiler van to create the Tren de Felipe II, a tourist train covering the Madrid – El Escorial route, hauled by a type 2100 locomotive also restored by ALSA.
Model
Arnold has produced a complete replica of the Tren de Felipe II in three sets: the 2150 locomotive in green-yellow livery (reference HN2634/S), set HN4455 with two 7-compartment coaches, and set HN4480 which includes the boiler van and two additional coaches with interior lighting, including the distinctive BB-5000 with 8 compartments.
